Happy Birthday Gerald!

Yahooooooooooo!!! We had a great time celebrating Gerald's birthday! After last year, we decided to have a fun night out on the town rather than a scary visit in the ICU. Thank goodness Gerald is feeling MUCH better and has made a full recovery from his scare last year. A funny story on Gerald: He isn't really sure when his birthday is....the story is that he was delivered at home, and the doctor was called to the house on the 30th. However, Gerald was not born until after midnight, so on the 31st, so he thought his birthday was the 31st. It wasn't until he was in his 50s and had to have a copy of his birth certificate to go on a Thompson cruise that he saw his actual birth date was the 30th!! So, now we get to pick what day we want to celebrate his birthday! Wouldn't that be weird if this confusion had been around the 31st and the 1st--then he wouldn't even know what YEAR he was born in.

After a dinner out, we decided to hit the lanes (apparently bowling is a talent all the Thompson's have....but not this one--just check out the last picture).

We had a blast! And I am sad that Carol is not in any of my pictures! She was there and she bowled the highest score in 1 game, too.

Happy Birthday Gerald. We wish you many more happy and healthy years!
