For our 4th anniversary we hit the road to Nashville! We love to go on trips to celebrate our wedding weekend....and try to make it an adventure of sorts. Past trips have been to Clarksdale, Natchez, and Hot Springs. So, this year we got a 2 for 1 bonus weekend (or so we thought) by going to Nashville and Knoxville. Ole Miss was playing Tennessee that weekend and we day-tripped it to Rocky Top for some more SEC football.
Our Nashville stay was loads of fun. We went to the Grand Ole Opry and heard lots of old school musicians, some really fantastic music. We also heard Josh Kelley, who got his start and almost One-Hit-Wonder while at Ole Miss. It was good to hear his new act, and honestly hope he makes it a little longer. We loved that the Grand Ole Opry was aired from The Ryman (because of the big flood), because any show at The Ryman is incredible.
It was pretty amazing to hear the songwriter of Rocky Top sing his song in The Ryman. This Tide fan never thought she'd say she enjoyed Rocky Top...
I only took 1 picture from the football game...and I don't think I'll post it. I have to say this was by far the worst game of the season for me to attend. The Rebels looked miserable, our seats were 3,000 miles high, the sun was draining and they had NO FOOD that would satisfy this pregnant lady. I was very disappointed in our Rocky Top experience. I know, next time we'll have to go with our UT friends so that they can show us the real game-day experience :) Hint, hint.
